Description

The 35th Annual Blueberry Festival is June 23 & June 24th from 10 am - 4 pm.

This wonderful community event celebrates the blueberry in a historic farm village where the blueberry was first cultivated by Elizabeth Coleman White.  The festival welcomes thousands of visitors each year to ride wagons to go blueberry picking, listen to music, visit craft and artist vendors, tour historic homes and museums, make a craft in the makers workshop or watch artisans weave or carve.

Volunteers are needed to help at stations throughout the village:

Wagon rides and blueberry picking

Family Field Games

Tour Tickets

Welcome table and festival booklets

Baked Goods

Music Stage assistants

General Store helpers

Drinks station

Blueberry Farm Stand

Assisting craft and arts vendors

Makers Workshop helpers

Interpretive Cottage guides in costume

Barrel Factory presenters assistant

Additional help is needed in making photo copies, setting up signs, answering visitor questions, relieving volunteers for lunch, answering phone calls, making social media posts, stocking supplies, and many more tasks.

Tasks are appropriate for families supervising kids, teens that work well self-directed and adults.

Volunteers get a free festival t-shirt, festival volunteer tag, water, snacks and lunch (hot dogs, hamburgers) is provided.

You are not required to work the full day, but it is preferred.  You may find we are cleaned up and ready to leave earlier depending on the number of volunteers available.
