Outreach and recruitment
- Proactively promote MOCEANS’ programs and services within the community as a member of the marketing team.
- Help plan and execute fundraising and informational events
- Partner with the social media team to design and implement social media strategy
- Initiate speaking engagements and presentations to community organizations, schools, volunteer groups and others as necessary
- Create flyers and brochures used to promote events and marketing activities
Development
- Research prospective avenues for promoting MOCEANS events and outreach opportunities
- Identify and develop new revenue streams that are consistent with MOCEANS’ mission and strategic plan
Qualifications
- Experience/interest in marketing and outreach
- Computer skills including typing, Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Apps
- Ability to relate effectively with the public, fellow staff, and members in a professional manner
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Proficiency using at least one social media channel preferred
Time Commitment
- Minimum of 4 hrs/week
- 6 month commitment
