No student should have to miss school, no adult should have to miss work, and no person should have to miss out on daily life because they are unable to afford the basic necessities they require. However, one-third of low-income women report missing school, work, or similar commitments due to a lack of access to period supplies.
For the month of March, United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties will be collecting women’s personal hygiene products addressing Period Poverty. Here’s how can you help.
- Host a drive on our behalf.
- Set a date, spread the word on your social media platforms, in your office, and with your family and friends,
- Collect ultra-thin feminine pads, tampons, panty liners, and feminine wipes.
- Contact Quinnetta Anderson at qanderson@uwmoc.org to make arrangements to drop off your donation at our office.
If you have any questions, please contact Quinnetta Anderson, Director of Engagement at qanderson@uwmoc.org Donations can be delivered to our office located at 6 Industrial Way West, Suite A-1, Eatontown, NJ 07724 Tuesday - Thursday. Please email to make arrangements.
