Our group of singles has assisted over 35 non-profit organizations in a variety of ways since 1988. Our group meets to decide which activities will best suit our talents. We have volunteers to assist with fund raising events, walkathons & Food and Wine events. We hold a holiday event for a local health and rehabilitation center and a spring party for adults with developmental disabilities. We participate in approximately 100 events over the course of the year.
What are your hidden talents? Help us help others by joining our group. We look forward to meeting you.
THIS COMING WEDNESDAY (January 17) - Synergy General Meeting, at the Eatontown Library, 33 Broad Street, from 6:30 - 7:45 pm. If there's enough interest, we'll do dinner (or, in my case, breakfast at night) at the diner afterwards!
February 9 (Friday) - Saturday Soup Benefit Play!!! As always, this event will be at the Spring Lake Community House Theater, starting at 6:30 pm with the Coffee Desert Reception (with its traditional really yummy treats!), followed by a production of "You Can't Take It With You" (curtain time 7:30 pm), with a raffle of gift certificates from local food establishments and a 50/50 drawing during Intermission! The Theater donates all their seats for this performance to Food Justice at Trinity (Episcopal Church in Asbury Park), which currently serves 40,000 meals a year, provides case workers to work with the community and does community organizing for justice in Asbury Park. Tickets are a minimum donation of $30.00 (but people are welcome to donate more per ticket), and checks need to be made out to Food Justice at Trinity. A block of nine tickets (all together!) has been reserved for Synergy - feel free to invite friends to join you! If you would like to attend this performance, please let me know right away (e-mail me back or call/text me at 732-857-4156)!!! The Synergy tickets can only be held until Thursday, January 25, so I would need to receive reservations by then - we can take care of the money at the January 17 General Meeting, or we can make alternate arrangements to take care of this!
February 21 (Wednesday) - Synergy General Meeting, at the Eatontown Library, 33 Broad Street, from 6:30 - 7:45 pm. If there's enough interest, we'll do dinner (or, in my case, breakfast at night) at the diner afterwards!
March 8, 9, 10, 11, 22 - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal & Northern New Jersey "Bowl for Kids' Sake" events - we now have dates/locations!!! Help will be needed with the Prize Patrol (giving candy to bowlers that get strikes) and possibly with other activities related to these events! Dates/locations/times for these events are as follows: Friday, March 8 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Shore Lanes in Neptune, Saturday, March 9 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Bowlero in Hazlet, Sunday, March 10 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at Playdrome Lanes in Toms River, Monday, March 11 (this is the really big one where for many years the people from Hackensack Meridian Health have taken up the entire bowling alley!) from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Shore Lanes in Neptune and Friday, March 22 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Bowlero in Hazlet. Volunteers will need to arrive 30-45 minutes ahead of start time. Once again, I have been asked to help coordinate the day of event volunteers, so I could use as much help as I can get from you all, especially with the Monday, March 11 event!!! If you would like to help with one or two (if volunteer spots are still available March 1, you can help with as many additional events as you would like!), please let me know (e-mail me back or call/text me at 732-857-4156).
