Who We Are

Child Care Resources is a not-for-profit agency that was founded in 1995 to help coordinate, assist, and strengthen child care services. Much of Child Care Resources budget is publicly funded through government grants. Any individual or organization interested in the issues of quality child care may work with us, either through direct collaboration or through financial support.

What We Do

Child Care Resources is the child care resource and referral (CCR&R) agency in Monmouth County, contracted with the State of New Jersey, Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Family Development (DFD), to connect parents, child care providers, and community leaders to child care. The core services of CCR&R agencies in New Jersey are helping families choose and access the child care option that is best for them, supporting all child care providers through training and technical assistance, registering Family Child Care providers, providing child care supply demand data, as well as data on child care issues and trends and providing consultation to employers. We are the entity that determines eligibility for all available child care subsidies and we support families navigating child care options from birth through age 13 and up to age 19 for children with special needs. Child Care Resources also manages and coordinates a Diaper Bank that supports referred Monmouth County families with one week's worth of diapers per child, per month. In 2018 the Diaper Bank at Child Care Resources served families with 59,495 wipes and 52,241 diapers through the generous donations of community organizations and individual donors.
