Who We Are
Displaced Homemakers Services offers free, confidential, holistic, customized help for women who have lost their primary source of income due to separation from a spouse or long-term live in partner, divorce, widowhood, or disability of their spouse or long term live-in partner.
People are assisted with reaching their full potential through a grant from the NJ Department of Children and Family Services-Division on Women and with the generous support of Brookdale Community College.
What We Do
Services to assist displaced homemakers achieve their goals of emotional and financial self-sufficiency include:
- Personal coaching and mentoring
- Peer support group
- Career development
- Job seeking preparation including resume assistance
- Computer training
- Workshops
- Referrals to community resources, e.g., legal, financial,
education and training - Possible sponsorship for certificate training may be available on a limited basis
