Who We Are
The Historic Village at Allaire is a non-profit living history site dedicated to preserving the life and times of James P. Allaire and the Howell Iron Works.
What We Do
The Historic Village at Allaire is a living history site representing The Howell Works, an iron production company set in the year 1836. Our volunteers portray the year 1836 from every day life such as carpentry, wheel wrighting, blacksmithing, hearth cooking, and children's games to special events such as The Wedding of Maria Allaire, Fall Harvest Festival, and our Christmas celebration weekend. We also host special fundraising events such as our annual Ducky Derby and our well-known Haunted Hayride. All ages are welcome and needed!
