Who We Are
Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County (HFHMC), an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, seeks to eliminate sub-standard housing and help low-income families achieve the dream of home ownership.
Construction Volunteers Needed. Looking for a few good men/women with carpentry skills - in particular framing, sheetrock, flooring, etc. However no experience needed, we will teach and train! Do you have a few free days? Or are you a Weekend Warrior? We could use your help in building our newest Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County homes. To volunteer or for more information, please register here and pick the days you are available - https://www.habitatmonmouth.org/construction-calendar. We build Thursdays thru Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.
What We Do
We are currently building wheelchair ramps at the homes of senior or disabled families within Monmouth County. New home construction will begin in Middletown for a deserving family. Location will be sent to you a few days beforehand, we meet at the job site (TBD.) We may be doing cleanup, demo, framing, sheetrock, insulation, painting, flooring, siding, landscaping, etc.
In addition to volunteering on a construction site, we could use volunteers in our ReStore located at 45 South Street in Freehold. Minimum age requirement is 14 years old. The store is open Tuesdays thru Saturdays from 10 - 5 and you can choose your hours. It would be meeting and greeting, helping customers with purchases, staging and moving furniture, maybe some computer work, etc. Click here for more info - https://www.habitatmonmouth.org/civicrm/?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/profile/create&gid=28&reset=1, we always welcome the help.
