Who We Are
Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) is an interfaith nonprofit agency dedicated to providing free supportive services to the frail elderly and homebound, enabling them to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. Our volunteers are dedicated to reducing social isolation which comes with aging. CVCJ has been providing these services in Ocean County and now Monmouth County for 30 years.
What We Do
Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey provides free supportive services for elderly citizens of Ocean County. In 2016, CVCJ expanded these vital services into Monmouth County, currently serving over 20 towns. The agency recruits volunteers from businesses, congregations, community organizations and agencies to provide direct services for the seniors we serve. Services provided include: transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, relief for chronically ill, dementia or Alzheimer's disease caregivers, telephone reassurance, and friendly or pet visits.
