Who We Are
Vincent’s Legacy was established by the St. Vincent de Paul Society’s Trenton Diocesan Council to provide gently used furniture and household goods to our neighbors in need throughout the Diocese. Individuals in need contact their local SVdP Conference. Local volunteers conduct home visits to access needs and serve as liaisons to Vincent’s Legacy. Together the volunteers take measurements, select appropriate pieces and arrange a convenient time to deliver the furniture and household goods. Vincent’s Legacy also works with the community to accept quality donations to be stored and redistributed to those in need. St. Vincent de Paul once said: “The poor suffer less from a lack of generosity than from a lack of organization.” Vincent’s Legacy Furniture Ministry has worked hard to organize itself so that it operates efficiently and uses its volunteers effectively. We have developed team leaders who manage the day-to-day activities in 6 key areas: • Warehouse Operations • Furniture Requests • Donations • Scheduler/Delivery Team • Fundraising • Recruiting/Marketing
