Opportunities From: United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties

Due to these uncertain times, we have an even high need for volunteers right now. Some of our survivors are at a higher risk for contracting the virus, and those that are going through treatment now are having difficulties getting to their treatment. We need your help to make outreach to our survivors and participants from the American Cancer Society events to check in on them. You would be making calls and sending emails to team Leaders and other participants in the New Jersey area to see how they are, if they have questions and if there is anything we can do to help them.

Plus, we also share information and decisions made from the American Cancer Society to our participants; however, they need to be registered for an event in order to receive the education and updates. You will be reaching out via phone to have them register.

We are in need of volunteers willing to drive cancer patients to and from their cancer related appointments, ie. Doctors appointments, Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. We have many patients that are either elderly, don't drive , have no family nearby to assist or are not feeling well enough themselves to drive.
