Who We Are

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

The Salvation Army, an evangelical part of the universal Christian church established in 1865, has been supporting those in need in His name without discrimination for over 150 years. Nearly 30 million Americans receive assistance from The Salvation Army each year through the broadest array of social services that range from providing food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless and opportunities for underprivileged children. Eighty-two cents of every dollar spent is used to support those services in 5,000 communities nationwide. - See more at: http://newjersey.salvationarmy.org/redbank

What We Do

The Commanding Officers in charge of the Red Bank Corps are often reassigned to other corps within the division or region, but the programs that are the mainstays include our Social Services and Children's Programs, as well as our Ministry Programs, since the Salvation Army is a church.

Our children's programs include an after-school enrichment program that could always use assistants. During the summer months, we provide an on-site day camp and also work together with The Salvation Army's Camp Tecumseh for sleep away camp opportunities in Pittstown, NJ, http://www.camptecumseh.com/

Ministry programs include Bible Studies Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings, right before service. A Women's Ministry group and events for Men's Ministry are available as well.

Social Services include a year-round food pantry as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance, which require a lot of help!

Of course, there are events that sometimes take place after-hours or during the weekends that also require the help of our volunteers. Interested volunteers should complete an application at Salvation Army Volunteer Application and choose RED BANK as their Corps of choice.

We feed empty stomachs and hungry souls. We rebuild broken homes and broken lives. We offer HOPE to the hopeless and second chances to all.

You will love DOING THE MOST GOOD
 * Please note that the Agency Video was recorded in 2015 and we currently do not offer Jiu-Jitsu or wrestling for children. Please contact us for current programs by calling 732 747-1626.
