Who We Are

EHAP got its start in the winter of 2003-04, when a group of food pantry volunteers began working with the Freehold Clergy Association to provide an overnight hospitality program for homeless men in local houses of worship. EHAP became its own nonprofit in 2017 and has since expanded its mission to assist, empower and educate those who are homeless and at risk of becoming unhoused so they could secure housing and other benefits that would allow them to live independently.

What We Do

EHAP offers free housing assistance and advocacy programs to help community members rebuild their lives. We work most with those experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Our social workers assess each individual to determine their need and then we either provide services or link them with one of our community partners.
