Who We Are
We are the Tuckerton Seaport and Baymen's Museum! Our mission at the Tuckerton Seaport is to preserve, present and interpret the rich maritime history, artistry, heritage and environment of the Jersey shore and the unique contributions of its baymen. Our 40 acre site includes 17 historic and recreated buildings, most of which are connected by a boardwalk.
What We Do
Our main goal at the museum is to preserve and present the history of Tuckerton and in particle the baymen who lived in the area. We also have folkart classes. Folk art is made with a purpose it is not usually for decorative purposes. Folk art is often passed on from generation to generation. One of our goals is to pass on the dying art. We hold decoy carving classes, basket weaving classes and more! We also host many special events including festivals and
